Bawacolm in Real Life – 3

What is the difference between folks who live ordinary lives and folks who live meaningful life? Focusing on what you control instead of what is beyond your control makes an important difference.

In the following video, let explore a classic representation of the needs of an individual, map that to our ICE Sheet, and then flip it upside-down.

As always, thanks to all my supporter who provide positive (and not-so-positive) feedback.

Episode 5

Sometime, the hardest part of following your dream is choosing to step out of your comfort zone and rise above yourself. Join Ada as she is given the opportunity to follow her dream, but saying yes will not be that easy.

Bawacolm in Real Life – 2

How can someone have everything they need in life but not feel happy? Let’s explore this question in this episode of the Bawacolm in Real Life where we learn about the three states in which an individual or organization may be in: survival, coasting or rising.

Being aware of which state you are in can help you or your business make informed and sensible decision on how to move forward in life and strive for meaning.

Let’s try something new and I hope you like it!

In Episode 3, Ada went to look for work at 13 different circuses. What kind of weird city has 13 circuses?

Of course, Ada and the Lion is an allegorical tale used to illustrate lessons in life, leadership and management, but the inspiration for the series comes from real-world experience.

In the first episode of the Bawacolm in Real Life, we’ll explore some of the inspiration for the previous episode as well as the story of how I found myself in the classroom.

Please let me know what you think!

Episode 3

Have you ever been energized by a dream but felt that energy sapped away as reality throws obstacles and adversity your way? Let’s begin to explore that in episode 3 of Ada and the Lion.

In the previous episode Ada competed her identity map and found herself ready to take on the world. It’s a new day, and Ada sets out to fulfill her dream. Things do not go the way she expects.

Thanks for your feedback on the previous episode! I hope you enjoy watching this one as much as I enjoyed making it.

Episode 2: Know Yourself

Have you ever wondered what to do with your life or felt like you are meandering aimlessly? Then, let’s explore the question of “who am I?”

Welcome to Ada and the Lion: Episode 2: Know Yourself

In the previous episode, Ada, who recently graduated from school, went on a quest to find an elusive book that might help her decide what to do with her life. Using that book, Ada starts on a journey of self-discovery.

If you haven’t done so already, take a moment to do your own identity map. You can use this template to help you get started. Since change happens regularly, an identity map should be a living document. To take full advantage of your identity map, review and revise it regularly. Avoid drifting aimlessly through life by making sure there’s always something meaningful to you in the future column.

As always, I really appreciate feedback and comments. Please let me know how your identity map works out and join us next week where Ada will need to determine what is truly important to help her make difficult decisions.
